The Saryupareen generally dwell in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh with a significant amount of them concentrated in the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh known as Purvanchal. There are also minority Saryupareen communities in Mauritius, where Bhojpuri is a commonly spoken language and the Caribbean.

  5. Mangal Pandey was a Bhumihar Brahmin.Sharma brahmins are Saraswat Brahmins/Brahmbhatt Brahmins. Many Mishras and other are from Kanmubj and Maithil Brahmin. Mere common surnames isn't indication that they belong to Saryuparin Brahmins

  7. Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra (Retd. Justice of Supreme Court of India) is not from Saryupareen Brahmin community. It seems the author of this post is of the view that all people with Mishra surname are Saryupareen Brahmin.

    FYI, Justice (Retd.) Gyan Sudha Mishra belongs to Maithil Brahmin Community from Bihar.

  8. Prem ji , compilation ka prayas to thik raha lekin aapka saryuparin brahmin gyan bahut adhik acharya hai . Narayan dutt tiwari pahadi brahmin (chhoti dhoti) brajesh mishra late NSA was kanyakubj brahmin VC shukla ji shyama charan shukla ji aise kai naam hain jo pahadi rajasthani gaud brahmin hain . Aap apne gyan bhandar ko parimarjit kijiye . Haan apne jile aur aas paas ke chhu bhaiyon ko shamil karke aapne apne sangrah ke star kafi neeche pahchaan par khada kar diya . Amadani aajivan sahayata ko shamil karke aapne badi bhul ki . Prayas sarahniya hai par sankalan aur gyan adhura hai . Phir bhi nai shuruaat ke liye hardik badhai.
